Quartzite FAQ

Quartzite is a natural stone primarily composed of quartz, a very hard mineral that is even harder than granite!
Caring for quartzite is similar to caring for granite recommends wiping up counters regularly with a gentle cleanser, water, and a soft cloth or paper towel. As with any surface, simple preventative measures should be taken to protect quartzite countertops. Wipe up spills and moisture as quickly as possible, and use coasters, trivets, and cooling racks.
This high quartz content gives quartzite its robust properties, making it resistant to abrasion, etching, and heat, which are essential qualities for a countertop material.
Quartzite countertops are heat and scratch-resistant but require periodic sealing to maintain their stain resistance.
